TMK International Forum "Horizons" 2019
Between 7-13 October 2019, in Sochi, the Russian Federation, took place the anniversary edition (15 years) of the TMK International Forum "Horizons", an event that brought together over 900 employees from the entire TMK Group.
Again this year, TMK-ARTROM and TMK-Resita were pleased to participate with a delegation of 11 talented young specialists (from which one as a delegation responsible), who presented their research work at the central event of this Forum - "TMK Youth Applied Research Conference", in 7 of the 17 available sections. 4 of the participants returned home with a place on the podium, in the sections: "Information technologies" - Albu Marian from TMK-Resita, "Steelmaking" - Stan Marian from TMK-Resita, "Financial Management" - Andreea Vaduva from TMK-Artrom and “Production Automation” - Adrian Mitaru from TMK-Artrom.
In this adventure, the young specialists were accompanied by the CEO of the European Division, Mr. Adrian Popescu, but also by the Director of the Department of Quality, Environment and Integrated Management System, Mrs. Magdalena Popescu.
For 7 days, the numerous participants in the Forum were engaged in various workshops, recreational activities, team-building, sport events and open dialogues with the top management of the company, aiming to increase production efficiency by involvement of youth in addressing production problems, matters of production modernization, implementation of new technologies, including digital technologies, and modern management techniques. Besides increasing motivation of employees of the Company to study modern methods of production organization, this event aims to facilitate exchange of ideas, experience and practices in TMK Group, as well as identification of most promising specialists in order to form the management reserve and key personnel reserve. Throughout the Form, the participants are involved in social activities that are in line with the company's priority areas and with the development of a pro-active attitude.
